Goodlives is a local charity that provides practical support to help you find employment and get back into work. We offer a range of FREE courses that focus on sharing new skills and building self–confidence in a safe space.
We understand that finding suitable work can sometimes be a daunting and frustrating experience, so having some additional support can be beneficial whilst you choose your next steps forward.
Our cookery project gives learners hands-on experience in preparing and making a variety of healthy meals as well as basic food hygiene, budgeting and an opportunity to gain a food safety qualification!
Our amazing woodwork workshop, based in the heart of Cleator Moor, is full to the brim with fantastic tools and fully equipped with machinery and materials. You will discover the joy (and frustration!) of working with chisels, saws, planes and a whole host of other tools and we will also teach you how to take care of them.
