Margaret from Active Cumbria has been an invaluable addition to our learner support initiatives through her yoga sessions. These sessions have provided numerous benefits to our learners, contributing significantly to their personal and professional development. Firstly, it allowed Learners to develop a routine, with the yoga sessions being a part of their weekly activities. Attending these sessions regularly has encouraged a sense of discipline and consistency, which is essential for building the habits needed for employment and other life responsibilities.

These sessions of Yoga have proven to be a powerful tool in reducing stress and anxiety among learners. The mindfulness practices incorporated in Margaret’s sessions have helped learners develop coping strategies, improve focus, and foster a positive outlook on life. As well as having a positive impact on their physical wellbeing also. These improvements have boosted learners’ confidence and energy levels, enabling them to approach daily tasks and challenges with renewed outlook on exercise. A few members of the group have continued with exercise by starting the gym as a cohort, after developing their relationship.
